Robert,
I have my front plates stuck on with double sided sticky tape.
Sounds basic, but its been there for the last 8 months and still
sticking strong. If you want to remove them, the residue left can
easily be cleaned with thinners or carefully with a razor blade.
I hope this helps.

I need to put a front license plate on my 88 16v, but I do not want to
put
holes into my bumper. Has anyone else done this, and if so how? I have
an idea to hang it from the bottom of the bumper, but it seems that it
might
not be sturdy enough for high speeds.
Any help greatly appreciated
