Um, overkill? :) Instead of dynamat, which is super heavy, you might want
to try that spray-on stuff on panels that aren't really noisy. Seems to

Will this really be necessary? I've never had a Soundstream amp so I don't
know how hot they get but I don't think you'd need to go so far as to build
ductwork to cool them. If anything I'd say put a fan or two on teh top
level of the false floor, pulling air out of the cavity (the air would come
in past the amps, cooling them).

Use 1/2" (13mm), and make sure you put a lot of spacers in between the
bottom and top sheets so that someone doesn't break the false floor dumping
their stuff in to the trunk or whatever.

It will affect handling (we're talking about a good 50lbs of wood
altogether) but not tooo badly. 4 people in the car plus all the stereo
and you might have rubbing problems with the back tires, though! (actually
you will definitely have problems) :)
