Re: Hole in Firewall?

Typically for wear puposes its alot better to find a spot about an inch over
from the whole you are talking about. i beleive you are talking about the
cluthc/throttle cable hole.....this hole is acceptable but don't forget that
you will always have flex as the throttle/cluth moves in this hole which can
cause wear to the wire you put thru with. You would nt want an amp wire to
wear thru being that this connection is almost direct to the battery. A
better deal is to make a new on with a small drill about level with the
other one....eye behind the dash see where there is an open space right
aside the other hole and the drill a small hole...make sure the drill went
thru and that it not near any other wires and then get a larger drill
(somewhere around the diameter of the wire you are running) and cut a bigger
hole.....I suggest making the hole more twareds the outside of the car
rather thatn the inside because you are going to try to run the wire I am
sure thru the wire harness on the outside of the car.

Hope this helps
