If we is talking a 2.0 from a '96 Golf, it is not the Passat engine,
which is a 16V. The 96 Golf 2.0 is an 8V.

It'll be potent, though  :)

With the combination that you just described, I'd bet that you'll be
somewhere
around 160hp. That'll make for a fun time!
