Re[2]: 16x7.5 rims on SII

Well you 30mm is way off. Stock 14's should be 38mm. Also, make sure
your Nuespeed springs are for 16v, if you accidently got the 8v it may
be to softly sprung. Although in the rear it should not matter as
much as in front. 195.60.14's should simply not rub as some 88' 16v's
came with that size if I am not mistaken. If I went to a 195 14'
though I would probably reduce the sidewall some 195.55.14, just for
my personal preference. Also, what brand tires are you running?
Although the dimensions should be fixed, I have noticed some makes
vary. For example Dunlop's run a little larger it seems. My SP8000's
although labled as 205.45.16 are more like 207.47.16 (not an actual
size you can buy, but that is what it seems to come out to.)
Pirelli's are usually dead on from my experience. Also, my Dunlops on
my Audi look more like 195.62.14 although labled 195.60.14. I still
     love my Dunlop's though.

     My two cents.

So can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong?? I just bought a new set of
wheels for my '87 16v (Neuspeed lowering springs). After careful
measuring and price consideration, I decided to go with 14x6, just like
stock. I also bought a new set of 195/60/14's. Now I'm getting a very
slight rub... the rear half of the wheelwell. The offset is 30mm. How
are you guys getting away with 16x7.5 with 35mm offset?? Or 15x7's for
that matter? Is my car just too low, or do I need to go with a 50 or 55
series tire?
