First off what motor do you have in the scirocco, 8v or 16v? If it's 
a pre 87 JH 8v solid lifter motor the 30mm pumps are quite adequate. 
Plus there's no reason to be pushing 100+ pounds of pressure while 
driving at operating temps. 
The 8v hydro motor's can benefit from this upgrade(I did it in my MK1 
& it worked great)
If it's a 16v PL by all means get one. The 16v's have piston oil 
squirters & double the lifters to feed so the increase in volume will 
help.
