Appendageless reptilian lubricant?

alot of other amazing things they did with

Heh, I'd really like to see a before & after dyno test of Prolong vs.
normal oil. I don't buy it, and that infomercial did nothing to sway me -
oh, lookie, they're dumping sand on the valvetrain. It still runs!
Amazing. Sigh. I find it hard to believe that an oil additive can reduce
internal friction ("add" horsepower) beyond that of a good engine oil.
IMHO, of course, and if your engine runs for a long time to come, great!

i bought it at Shucks (local

>50 and tx7

Imagine that. Slick 50 scares me. Never heard of Tx7, that sounds like a
next generation Mazda. Don't know, it took me a long time to switch to
synthetic oil, even being that I knew and believed the benefits of
synthetic for a long time. Synthetic is rumored to cause leaks, and it is
expensive. OK. Leaks are relatively cheap to fix, and my 140k old engine
has not leaked any more than normal since I switched to Valvoline
Synthetic. Slick 50 is rumored to clog oil filters and passageways -
yikes? I'm willing to gamble a leak, even if it were to oil the clutch,
that's a reasonable gamble to me, as the rear main seal was replaced a
couple of years ago. Not saying Prolong will clog things, but, if I am not
mistaken, it is a PTFE based lubricant, right? Dunno. Scary, IMHO, but
best of luck with it.
