Interesting. Kinda a bummer. FWIW, my 4k close ratio developed leaks
shortly after I put Redline in, chewed up a CV joint in the process.
Changed seals, everything is fine now. Might have Amsoil in it though.
Forget.
Reason I wrote, the 87 16v transmission is one of those susceptible to the
"self machining syndrome," if I am not mistaken. Does not really sound
like yours "self machined," but it could have, it'd make sense....
