nitrous+upshift->BANG

One thing I was thinking about these basic nitrous on/off switches - say
you pull the trigger at 3k, wind it out to 7, then upshift to the next
gear.  When you push the clutch in and have the engine at 7k, won't the
nitrous send the rpms through the roof?  Assuming you don't take your foot
right off the gas before disengaging the clutch, of course.  Am I right?
