I weighed my scirocco with out me in it at an ice scale...I have no A/C,
full carpet ,upper, lower and rear stress bars, a stereo with 4 speakers
and a tire in the trunk as a spare. Its a 1980 Mk1 and it weighed in at
2080 lbs.
If you stripped it of everything it would be closer to 2000lbs.
