Handles, wolfburgs, quaifes, & more.

Hello all!

Thanks for the help and suggestions for replacing my driver's side handle
& lock mechanism. It was a breeze, the important part is definately
keeping the key in the lock barrell, to keep those little slats from
slipping out.   Now I don't have to have my gf open my door for me after I
let her in her side! Heck, now I don't even have to let her in her side
anymore. Woohoo! j/k

About theft, I had a Jetta, and I think someone broke into it by just
jamming a screwdriver into the locking mechanism and turning it w/ a
wrench or some sort of device, and forcing the lock. I came out to the car
one morning to see the little metal guards surrounding the locks to be
busted off. I was pissed (no shit, really??), but happy all the same
because whoever tried to get it, apparently didn't succeed. However,
a month later I found out that ANY VW key will open the door. Ha! Maybe
they DID get it and decided I had crappy music, or it was just someone
trying to fuck up my locks.

I'm still for charging up the shell of the car  w/ a high voltage to
instantaneously FRY anyone who tries to do harm to my car. Can you say
VIGILANTE? That's good, I knew ya could! :)


Wolfburgs:

My rooco is an 84 wolfsburg. Well, the VIN has E as the 9th character,
which means it's technically an 85? Damn, but I like even numbers better!
The production date is 8/84, the title states 84, but oh well. Whatevah!

My question is, does my dang car have leather seats. I may be a dolt for
asking this, but I just can't tell them apart that easily. Well, some
"genuine vinyl" seats are pretty obvious, but it's a pretty nice material,
mixed in with a black-white striped fabric. Question is: did the
wolfsburgs come w/ leather seats by default?   What about anything else
special 'bout it? I'm pretty sure they cam w/ front & rear swaybars, since
I've got both. Just how rare/unrare are the wolfsburg sciroccos. I sure
seem to see a lot of wolfsburg Jettas around.


Quaife:

What the hell is a quaife? How much does on cost, and how is it a
performance enhancer?


16V vs. 8v:

I take it 16V's have a higher rev limit than 8v's? (my car). I max out at
7, and that's plenty o redline already. Only been there once. But I hear
talk to 7200rpms quite frequetly here..

Oo-oo-oo, Mr. Peavley, I got another question:

Where can I find my engine code, or am I to assume it's a JH, considering
my car.
