Hello all,

I bought a neglected Scirocco just before summer this year, and am
trying to get it running first, then smog-ready.  The car will start and
idle for a little bit, but when I step on the accelerator, the rpms just
creep up.  I've already replaced the fuel filter, air filter (there
wasn't one there!), and plugs... the cap and rotor seem ok still...

any ideas?
