VW did them in parallel so both would get 12volts. If you did it in
series the voltage would be split up and your headlights would be under
utilized with each getting 6 volts, that is if both H4 high and H1 are of
equivalent wattage. DONT DO IT. Wire them in parallel. You will be glad
you did.
