Bad news Sean, you're the virus.  This is a hoax, emails are text
documents and cannot contain a virus(which is by nature a program). 
This does not include attachments to emails(especially executables)
which can contain a virus.  If you get an email with an unsolicited
attachment, delete it immediately or at least scan it with a good virus
checker before saving or opening.  The "CREW" and "PENPAL" warnings were
started by individuals who get their jollies by seeing the messages
propagate around the world, tying up bandwidth.  So the virus is
replicated when someone receives the bogus warning and passes it on.
