According to http://www.vw.com/ the MSRP for a GTI VR6 is $19,710.
Also, they put up a scenario for a $15,000 vehicle. For the $15,000
vehicle the following hypothetical lease info is as follows:

Monthly payment - $322
Security Deposit - $325
Amount Due at Delivery - $647
Number of Payments - 36

322 x 36 = $11,592 total lease payment (minus other fees)
647 + 325 = $972 lease fees

$15,000 - $11,592 = $3,408 difference in end payment between
leasing/buying 

When you go to VW's website, look under "VW Credit" for all the criteria
the dealers use to determine your payments.  Hope this helps.
