The Project I never knew I had!
Well, I've done more work in the last two days on my 16v Scirocco than I've gotten
done all last year for the most part! I didn't even think of my car as being a project
yet but I now have a plan and goals and they are FINALLY coming together so
naturaly I have to brag to all you folks! I have taken everything I bought for this car
off and sold it:
Power Module,
Neuseed Bar
Techtonics Exhaust
I am switching to all Autotech stuff since my car will have to be a company show car
and we won't be pushing Neuspeed as much as Autotech and I put back the
stainless stock exhaust becuase the TT didn't make any difference at all and am
putting on a stainless Scorpion Muffler (it sounds SO mean!)
BTW: we are getting a shop and the ad in European Car will be out in July! I can't
wait!
ANYWAY on with the ramble...
Today I wired up the Multi-Function-Analyzer except for the outside air temp sensor
(any idea where I should put this?) which I am getting from the dealer. It was really
pretty simple and the local dealer's parts guy helped me out a lot. He's really cool. I
then wired up my 3 guages with the wiring loom, I cut from a Cabriolet with three
guages. This is the EASIEST way to do this and the wiring still stays reliable. THEN
I did all the cutting for my sunroof motor. I just need ONE more cut to make it sit a bit
more even and all will be well. It fits really well but now I need to figure out how to fix
the cover to the ceiling. I also cut a piece of headliner from a Scirocco at the local
yard to cover the Audi motor cover so all should look like it came from the factory.
Monday I bring my wheels up to get powder coated black and then all that's left to
start driving it again is the coil-over suspension. The car will be bitchin! The plan is
this by either Waterfest or at the lastest school again:
body work: the core support needs work = ( =( =( augh!
euro bumpers
Sparco seats
DTM mirrors. I hate those stupid stock mirrors. They're HUGE.
Autotech sway bars and stress bar. I get 'em CHEAP! woohoo!
And that should cover me.
It's only about $3000 =)
I just wish I didn't have to work for it!
