Re: New Paint - soon..
My '78 Rabbit (German built) had the original paint when I sold it at
215,000 miles. It had the front fenders repainted following an incident
in the parking lot in '82. When I sold it in '95, the original paint
looked great, and the repair looked faded. My other German built/painted
A1's have been of similar durability. From what I have seen of US built
A1's, thay just didn't paint them the same way. The A2's that I have
taken a close look at didn't seem very good either.
Long live the A1!
