protect the guage/radio circuits, and which one fuse #15 is hooked to (and
which amp fuse it needs). The brake light stays on when I have the key out
and the e-brake engaged, the battery drains overnight, the radio hums, and
it's driving me up the wall trying to locate the problem. Any help greatly
appreciated.

in my 82 rabbit with a/c the radio and guages were on the same circuit. The
proper amps of for each fuse is written on the fuse box, yours isnt? now
does the radio hum without the key in? is your radio hooked up through the
ignition or is it independant. I believe that all A1's had the radio through
the ignition but I always hook them up without it. I'll see if I can find
the diagrams.
