I went to a shop down the street where I worked for convienience
sake, asked them to do a 3M Limo tint all around and a strip at the
top of the front windshield. I lucked out..this guy did a killer job,
limo tinted all windows with the darkest tint 3M makes, which is
illegal unless you sign a waiver..which I never got around to doing.
And I also lucked out on inspection day...'87 was the last year Texas
had no tint restrictions! yay!
Every time I get pulled over I just roll down both front windows, even in
winter. It's dark as night in there. There is good and bad points to
this. Good, during the daytime the sun never bothers me unless its
dead on ahead of me...I'm talking a 10-20deg differemce at least,
also noone can see in my car unless the sun is shining directly
through the windshield..and then they can only see a silouhette. Bad
points...makes it difficult to wear my sunglasses at night. now
before you hop off and call me crazy..I wear Gargoyle Classic Burt
Amber sunglasses when I drive no matter what time. I can actually see
better with them on..it completely reduces all glare from headlights
and I can still see all the road reflectors etc just fine....see down
here in Texas, my car is lowered, and the majority of the bubba-trucks
are jacked up..which means i'm looking directly into the beam. The tint
makes it more difficult to see cars on the blind spot at night
