Well, after doing a complete engine swap and replacing all the
engine's seals but one prior to installing the engine, guess which
one is leaking?!??!?!? You guessed the one I never replaced. The
"front" crankshaft seal.
Here's my plan of attack.... first jack up the entire front end,
then remove the passanger side mototr mount's carrier bolt, then (now
that I can see it clearly) make some half assed tool that will enable
me to lock the crankshaft from turning, then wrench off the bolt (and
washer) that holds the sprocket on, then make some half assed tool to
remove the sprocket, then remove the seal's housing, then make some
half assed tool to remove the seal, then make some half assed tool to
install the new seal and finally put it all back together.
Does anyone have any pointers? Anything I should lookout for?
Anything that brakes easy?
Any help would be a wonderful thing.
