2.0l Short block

Just a quick question,  if I got a bare 2.0 block (nothing but the 
short block) could I take all the parts from my 1.8 and put em in
the 2.0 (pistons, oil pan, crank ect).  What I am getting at is
the only money I have to spend would be on the short block (and
a few other small things I'm shure) right?
