Yeah, I'm an appraiser also and It really does make a difference when
people are honest with you. I will definately try to give people the
benefit of the doubt and be more likely to help them if they are honest.
I can can smell a lie a mile away. The majority of owners that we deal
with are lying about something or trying to pull a scam. "They" say 85%
of all insurance claims(in New Jersey at least) are fraudulent. So we
have to stay on our toes and retrain all the time in fraud seminars.
So, the moral of the story is that you should try to be honest. Its
always best.
