Im pretty sure the 8V and 16V air boxes are NOT the same. There are a few 
more items inside the 16V airbox than the 8V. Whether or not the 8V bottom 
end will fit remains to be seen by these eyes. (Anybody done it?) 

Anyways, your best bet is to go to the junkyard and pick up a used one on 
the cheap. (Maybe $5- $10) I got myself a few spares to mess around with 
modifying the boxes. I got a completely stock unmodified bottom box just in 
case I ever need it.
