Headlight upgrade

Since the cheapest that Euro Lights seem to be going for in these parts is in the $500CDN range, I was contemplating upgrading the lights in my 82 to Hella H4/H1s. I understand that I can run the 55/60W bulbs as is, but if I want to get into the laser-beam type lights (90/130W) I'll have to upgrade relays. What's involved in this? Also, what's a good price for a kit (that will upgrade both the Low & High Beams) 

I understand that the Bosch kits are about 40% less than the Hella kits. Why? How much difference will it make?

I have the Euro grille/H4/H1 conversion on my Jetta, and I love the light that it throws...
