Hello bob,

I was searching through an old VW&porsche and came accross a project 
rabbit. It was a hot street engine (272 cam, large GTI valves, 1.6l 
displacment, a drake engine for those who remember) and they were turning 
it to 7200 rpm. a race cam with hogged out ports and such would probably 
go well over 8k rpm...
