If the idle changes at all, it will drop when the vacuum hose is
removed. The vacuum hose is for the vacuum advance. If there's
vacuum present, it will advance the timing, increasing RPMs.
Removing it would therefore decrease the RPMs by decreasing the
timing. Of course, if there's no vacuum present, there will be no
change.
