In oil pressure, I like electrical for 2 main reasons.
1) Easy to install
2) If the little hose comes off in the dash, you dont get oil leaking inside the
car and all that junk.
I once races an Alcohol Funnycar (Back in the 80's. Im old) that this actually
happened. Oil everywhere inside the cockpit and I thought for sure the motor had
blown, except it was still pulling hard, I was just waiting for the fire.
Anyway, its not likely that this scenerio will happen, its just one of those
things that sets your mind and thats it. No more mechanical oil pressure gauges.
In a regular car, my fear is you can have a leak anywhere in that little line
and you wont know it until your got a huge puddle or the while underside of the
dash is saturated (whats that smell?) with the synthetic stuff. If the sender
fails, so what, replace it. No mess, no hastle. its just less of a potential
problem.
