I clean my engine at the car wash.  One of ours has a variable pressure
nozzle.  I soak down the engine compartment with a product called Steam
Premium.  Wait a few minutes and wash it off.  As far as I am concern steam
premium is by far better tha gunk etc.  and by doing it at the car wash -ours
seperates the wash off so its inviromental safe.
