Hey according to my mechanic that is very common. I thought that my
ignition was broken like this too. It Ends up that some part in the
ignition is made from plastic and wears out espically quickly if you
have key chains that are heavy with a bunch of crap hanging from them.
Also you'll be glad to know according to him its a cheap job to fix..
