action plan, -20degrees

First - Shannon - go show them! 3 years no driving - no way! My car didn't
start yesterday and I had to leave it to town - that sucked. 3 years - I
have no words.


Back to my car. It didn't start yesterday. It was -20 degrees celsius out
there. 
I've been having troubles for a while now, jumping it has helped. Not now.
So I'm angry and feel I've been let down by my most beloved. The
description: it goes round and round and doesn't even give a promising
sound. When i wait a while, turn the key - it gives a promise and then goes
roun and round ...

I already have a list of suspects. I would greatly appreciate if you guys
could line them up so I would start from the right end. The suspects are:
air leak from brakes (idle goes up when i press brakes)
lead pressure regulator (just a gut feeling)
bad alternator (needs changing anyway, but I assume not the problem because
jumping doesn't help)
cold start valve (i've not tested it in any way - it might do whatever) 
fuel distributer (plate being stuck - tell me if I'm crazy)

I promise to repair it and send you guys all the details.
