Giugiaro of Ital Design designed both the Mk1 and the Delorean, I think. 
I always thought the Mk II resembled the Delorean more than the the Mk I, 
but the Mk II was a VW in-house redesign of the original. Isnt the Mk 11 
less curvy than the mark 1? I just saw a Mark 1 yesterday on the street 
and it seemed more gentle and softer the the Mk 11 which has sharper 
edges and is more wedge-like and aggressive in appearance.
