RE: Chevy 351 700hp (scirocco related)
I did this in my '82 last week, the only problem was the torque steer
pulled me into walls and such (Obviously, I didn't have the Ltd Slip Diff,
but I ran out of cash just when I was about to buy it.) I had that exact
tranny setup, you should have seen the series of universal joints that I
had to rig up to get the power to the front wheels...
I failed emissions, so I had to take it out (it's my daily driver.) I am
now investigating roof-mounting a jet airplane engine. (I'm looking for
somewhere between 12- and 15,000 HP. I hope that I can pass emissions
(anyone know the NOx or CO numbers? Nevermind - I think I'll just ignite
the afterburners and melt the testing device) I think that the biggest
problem will be getting my tach to read properly, but I'm sure that I can
find a fix for that...
Off to the garage, I'm high on jet fuel!
Sheesh!
Greg.

Subject: Chevy 351 700hp (scirocco related)
I am planning on shoehorning a Chevy 351 into my 1989 17V Scirocco -
anyone on list done this mod? Will a Borg-Warner Six-speed work with this
car? My goal is 700 streetable horsepower. Should I consider a limited
slip diff?
Please respond 'cuz I want to finish it by dinner time.
Is the engine in the front or the back?
