Umm guys, (and gals) the #1 reason to shorten your shifter rod is to 
allow your currect siginificant other better access to your personal
shifter rod. In any application, you gotta give a little to get a 
little...

Course... I guess nothi' says lovin' more than the shift pattern 
embedded on someone's chest.
