First question: is the car a MK1 or MK2?
Yes the MK2 bumper is a 40 lb or so "C" section under the covers. The Euro
spec weighs less. How did you
have the cover without the bumpers? They must have custom brackets or a
body kit. Your car will drive different with a bumper VS no bumper. You
should get the Euro spec if possible (not sure if you are gonna race it).
