MFA ( Multi Function Aputer?) is the trip computer like feature that is
displayed on the dash cluster LCD.
The switch is on the turn indicator or the wiper I cant remeber. My GTI had
one.

There is a technical report on this thing and how to fix it in Performance
VW April '97.
