Anyone ever tried surface gap plugs? They were hot shit in
the '70's - had a set in my hot rod Bug...

I haven't checked, but think I saw something about the wasserboxer
Vanagons using these - they are supposed to last the life of the
engine??? My wife took off in our bus, so I can't check the owner's
manual...
