Well, I guess if nobody is gonna help you out, I'll try.
My best quess is that your thermal time switch may be acting up? Your gonna
need to do some testing. Get your Bently and an ohm meter and check out the
diagnosis section. (This shouldnt be new to you, Dr. in training) You
could also have a bad connection too, depends on what the visual inspection
finds. Give that a go!
Now, to change your rotors, all you need is a wrench to remove the calipars
and a phillips screwdriver to remove the set screw that actually holds the
rotor to the hub. Its a 5 min job, start to finish.
Now, if I were you, and you had a bad set of rotors, odds are that the pads
are shot as well?? Replacing the pads are fiarly easy, you will need a calipar
compressor tool OR a big ol' set of channel locks. You can recompress the
piston in the calipar this way if your careful not to damage the piston.
