I second that!  I've been driving a winter beater of some kind for about 
5 years because the county and state put some nasty crap on the roads here in 
upstate NY.  However, just so you don't completely lose touch with reality,
I would suggest a beater Scirocco. :-)  (Is that an oxymoron?)
