Rocco II an Impulse?

Hello again,

     I thought that it was interesting that the Impulse was considered to be
the MKII.  I am not trying to offend any of those who like and own an Impulse
but YUCK.  I am so glad VW opted for the current design.  Can any of you
imagine a 16v Impulse?  With the 2.0 turbo it puts out 140, can you imagine
the 125-130 16v in it?  There would have been one less scirocco owner in the
group here if that would have happened.  While I think that the MKII lost
some of the charm the MK1 had, in its own right the MKII is a great car.  I
enjoyed the 88 16v I had as much as the 81 S I used to drive.  I am not
however a die hard VW fan when it comes to their decision making.  I still
can not figure out why VW didnt label the the Corrado the MKIII.  The
scirocco was a great VW car and they had to kill it to go with the Corrado.
 Now that VW has stopped making the Corrado, I wonder if they are smart
enough to put anything else in its place?  Anyone know?  I hope they do.  I
would hate to see the rocco and rado fade into history.
