OK...let's see how much I've learned.  

Scirocco I is the early models with the round headlights.
Scirocco II has the square headlites.  I'm not positive, but I think 
the II's started in 84 or 85.  But they're all A1 chassis.  I'm sure 
others here can tell us the exact cutoff year.
