In CA its called, " exibition of speed". Even tho your not going fast....
Whatever, right.

I did this one night when I was trying to get 0-60 times with my girlfriend
in the car with me, running the stop watch. I had just done an engine swap
and all my engine mods, exhaust ect a few weeks before and wanted to get
0-60 times. So we stopped in front of the local empty High School at 1:am
one night on the way home from work and tried it. The first try I dumped the
clutch and smoked the tires! I wasnt trying to, it just did it all by
itself. (Got an 8.2 with a long smoking 1st gear) So at the stop sign, I
tried again. As soon as I left, I saw both cruisers turn the corner and I
got off the throttle. They did their best John Wayne tough guy routine with
me. I just said that my feet were wet and they slipped off of my pedals!
(They were wet too, so that helped) 
Shit if it didnt work!
Thats the only time I got away without getting a ticket! Ever!
