On the Subject of ME
Currently I live in San Jose California, right in the center of the silicon
valley. I'm 32 and work at Cirrus Logic. My VW ownership history is as
follows: 72 VW type 3, 82 VW Scirocco, and a 90 VW Corrado. Most of my
friends, comrades, and girlfriend cannot understand this VW thing I'm into,
but they have never owned one.
I am currently the Bay Area coordinator of the Corrado Club, and my
Scirocco connection is that 82 Scrirocco in the driveway. That car is the
most loyal thing I've ever owned (10 years of service). Right now she is
striped, and sitting idle in the driveway, but I have some major ambitions
for her. Right now I've installed a Corrado Dash in the car, obtained a
leather interior, Corrado front and rear brakes (not installed yet...need
adapter plates), and will soon..(long soon) be molding carbon fiber door
panels and trim parts (ask me about this if you'd like).
Due to $$ problems, I'm still waiting on a motor. I hope to obtain a G-60,
but am also considering a crossflow 2.0 or 16V (any experiences with any of
these would be helpful). With the Corrado dash I will be able to utilize
the complete G-60 wire harness, but the cost of a new G-Lader might prevent
this (long term cost).
BTW, If you'd like to see pictures of my carbon fiber round headlight
conversion on my Corrado see http://members.aol.com/cjwright.corrado.htm
This can probably be done on an Scirocco II also

PS If you live in the bay area, the Corrado Club is meeting at Alice's in
Woodside on Oct 26, we'll be cruising off to the coast after. E-mail me
for details.
