In my opinion the stock manifold and downpipe for the 16V flows
pretty well already (if it has not been replaced with a weenie cheap
small diameter replacement). If you want to eliminate the cat go with
the TT 16V downpipe for track use with the stock manifold. I'm not a 
big header fan.
