Just installed a new K&N filter on the 8v stock 'rocco.  Not much 
more power (maybe 1-2hp)  but sound better!!!  It actually sounds 
like a happy car.

QUESTION: do K&N filter come pre-oiled?  I hope so!
QUESTION: the filter was about 5mm less wide than the VW filter.  Is 
that a prob?
