Hello all,
I have been wondering for a while now what exactly is the difference is
between a long block and short block with piston sizes and what the piston
does in each of the engines. I also would like to know what increasing the
bore does just to be sure. I suppose it just involves increasing the size
diameter of the cylinder, right?
Now for the suspension request for advice. I have the opportunitity to buy
a coil over/threaded shocks from Europe at a great price such as Jamex or
Spax's setups. I will either get them or Konis and Neuspeed race springs.
OK this is the debate: the Jamex/Spax spring rates are only 200(Spax)-230
(Jamex) fr and 150(Spax)-170(Jamex) rear whereas the Neuspeed reates are
somethin in the 300-400lb rate for the front and rear. I need some advice
on which I would be better off getting. The Jamex would cost me about $700
($900-$1000 for the rest of the world =) and the Spax would be about $500.
They apeal to me because of the infinite adjustment and lowering. I think
they have spring rates higher as well which I will need to inquire about.
Thank you,
