        I'd run a component speaker set.  I know Crutchfield sells an
adapter plate that will allow you to install a 3.5" component speaker into
your stock location, and then you can mount your tweeters on the door or
dash (mine are on my dash, at the far corners, aimed towards me, it sounds
good).   I'm recommending the component set so the speakers will be
acoustically matched and these sets usually come with crossovers so that you
can just attach them to your front speaker output, be it amp or head unit.
