I ran 30mm offset on 15x7 for my 79 and i had about 10mm more room
to go on offset, but there wasnt anyway to acurately measure it. It also
depends on the size of tire. I take it that you are also running
195/50's? Or perhaps they are 205's? With an offset like that I think
that you might avoid rubbing on the body, but the front strut and rear
spring might be a problem. Your backspacing is 118.9mm whereas I am
currently running a 7.5" width rim with a 35mm offset which gives me a
backspacing of 130.25mm. I havent yet put the tire on but I can see right
off the bat that it is close, very close. I think that with your
backspacing you will probably be okay, but you will limit that amount
of negative camber you can have in the front. BTW, did you have an MK1
or and MK2 scirocco?
